Résolution - Solving
There are 3 ways to solve a problem
with WinChloe :
- The default one, (called the "Windows" solving in
this help) : more than 500 conditions and 700 pieces, and using
hashtables.
- Using the old "Chloe" programs, (called the "DOS"
solving) : faster than the Windows solving (except when hashtables
are very useful, i.e. when there are few pieces) and having an
intelligent mode for helpmates.
But only the most usual pieces (such as Grasshopper, Nightrider,
Lion, Leo, Pao, Vao, Zebra ...) and conditions (Maximum, Circé,
Madrasi ...) are available.
- Using "Natch" (only for orthodox proof games).

Définition des pièces : you may only use this page to
change the "codes" of usual pieces if you don't use the default
french notation. Just click on a piece in the left zone and change
the "Code" field.
For instance, for the english notation, click on 'Roi' and type 'K'
in the "Code" field, then click on 'Dame' and type 'Q' in the "code"
field...etc.
If you want to define a new piece, go to Suggérer une nouvelle
entrée pour les tables auxiliaires in the '?' menu and Christian
Poisson will do it for you. |
