About Filters and Queries
Filters and Queries are two ways to
select only some problems of a table. Queries use SQL language and are
slower than Filters but are able to involve fields which are not
treated by filters.
In big tables, like the "Echecs" table, navigation
becomes very much slower when a filter or a query is applied. It can
then be interesting to copy all the filtered problems in another
(empty) table. It will be easier to browse the problems in that table.
It is possible to define simultaneously a filter and
a query. In that case, by default, a record is selected if it verifies
the filter AND the query.
But if the menu "Filtre OU Requête"
is checked, a record is selected if it verifies the filter OR the
query.
To cancel a filter and/or a query, select "Annuler
le filtre" or "Annuler la requête" or "Annuler Filtre +
Requête" in the menu "Filtres & Requêtes".
When a filter and/or a query is defined, and if a
new table is opened, the filter and/or the query will be applied to
that table.
